As the chilly fall air settles in, the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is making it easier for residents to protect themselves against seasonal illnesses by launching its seasonal immunization clinics. This is your chance to check both the Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations off your list in one convenient visit!

The SHA emphasizes that getting vaccinated is essential for preventing the spread of these respiratory infections throughout the upcoming fall and winter months. This year, the clinics join forces with local pharmacies and select physician and nurse practitioner offices across Saskatchewan to maximize accessibility for residents.

As of October 15, there are a whopping 203 walk-in locations ready to serve the public! You can easily find the clinic closest to you through the SHA’s online resources.

Not only is booking a family vaccine appointment easy, but you can reserve vaccinations for up to six people in a single appointment using the SHA’s patient booking system. It’s the perfect opportunity to get your loved ones all set for the season.

Officials urge individuals especially at-risk to take advantage of this immunization campaign. These groups include seniors, those with chronic health issues or compromised immune systems, children under five years old along with their caregivers, and pregnant women. The good news? Both vaccinations are available at no cost to Saskatchewan residents aged six months and older. However, children aged six months to four years can only be vaccinated at SHA clinics, public health offices, or through their primary healthcare providers.

Don’t wait for the flu to knock on your door! Secure your health and the well-being of your community by visiting your nearest immunization clinic today. Stay safe, stay healthy, and say goodbye to worries about flu season!
