The driver responsible, a 20-year-old from Saskatoon, was subsequently charged with careless driving causing bodily harm. Tragically, a passenger in this vehicle sustained serious, though non-life-threatening injuries, necessitating transportation to a local hospital via ambulance.

Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Hearst

As the day progressed, police were called to another alarming scene nearly 120 kilometers west of Hearst, where six CMVs were involved in a multi-vehicle collision. This incident resulted in charges for three additional drivers: a 31-year-old from Cambridge, and two 30-year-olds from Brampton, all cited for careless driving.
