In a groundbreaking development, the Gateway space station, humanity's first permanent outpost in lunar orbit, is being meticulously prepared for the unforgiving conditions of deep space. It is slated to make its journey to the United States in 2025, where Northrop Grumman will perform the final outfitting and integration with the Gateway’s Power and Propulsion Element. This is a critical step leading up to the anticipated Artemis IV mission, set to launch on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.
