This new system can be controlled through the Google Home app, maintaining integration within the smart home ecosystem.

In terms of security, the Yale Smart Lock will be the successor to the Nest x Yale Lock. Although it will not carry the Nest brand, it has been specifically designed for Google Home and is meant to work in harmony with devices like the Nest Video Doorbell. Installation is touted as being straightforward, boasting a battery life of up to 12 months, and offering multiple entry options, such as an access code, smartphone app, or traditional key. It will also be Matter-certified, ensuring compatibility with a range of other smart home systems. Look for this new lock to be available later this summer.
