With a profound sense of loss, we announce the passing of Tommaso "Tom" Critelli, who tragically left us at the age of 65. He peacefully passed away at his home in Burlington on January 1, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Tom was a devoted husband to Lynn Critelli (née Volpini), with whom he shared an incredible 39 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising their three beloved children: Thomas (Christina), Alexandria, and Marcus Critelli. Tom’s spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of his family, as he was also a loving son to Rosa Critelli (née Olivo) and a cherished figure to his friends and extended family across Canada, Italy, and the USA. He was predeceased by his father, Angelo Critelli, whose absence he felt deeply.

Tom's life was marked by his compassion, humor, and dependable nature. He was known for his infectious smile and his ability to light up a room. Friends remember him as a storyteller who captivated audiences, sharing tales of his adventures and life lessons gathered throughout his years.

A visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, located at 1167 Guelph Line in Burlington, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the chapel on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 1 p.m., followed by an entombment at the Gate of Heaven mausoleum.

In honoring Tom's memory, his family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Compassion Society, The Burlington Food Bank, or any charity close to your heart. These contributions are a way for friends and family to celebrate Tom's giving spirit and continue his legacy of kindness.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we invite everyone who knew Tom to hold onto the precious memories they have shared and to celebrate a life well-lived. His impact on our lives will forever resonate, reminding us that love and family are truly what matter most.
