It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kathleen Mary Ellen Church (née Heape), a beloved wife, sister, and cherished friend. Kathy left this world on Thursday, November 28th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that touched the lives of everyone she met.

Kathy was married to her devoted husband Al for an incredible 53 years. Their love story is a testament to enduring companionship and mutual respect. Kathy was not only a loving wife but also a steadfast friend and confidante.

The family of Kathy mourns her loss, which includes her predeceased parents, Sam and Olive Heape, and Al's late parents, Howard and Helen Church. Kathy’s cherished sister, Meg (Richard) Baker, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a close-knit family that includes her sisters-in-law: Carol (Tom – deceased), Evelyn (Dave – deceased), and Linda (Wayne – deceased), as well as Al’s brother Kelly (Sue) and sisters Fern Cameron (Leo – deceased) and Darlene Haney (Bob – deceased). Kathy's heart held a special place for her many nieces and nephews, each of whom she adored and closely supported throughout her life.

As we remember Kathy, it’s important to reflect on her impact and the love she spread within her family and community. She left a mark not only through her relationships but also through her acts of kindness, which will resonate for generations to come. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved so dearly.
