A dramatic three-alarm house fire erupted in The Beaches neighborhood of Toronto on Saturday afternoon, leaving one man hospitalized and several residences affected. The intense blaze sparked shortly after 4 p.m. near the bustling corners of Kewbeach and Kenilworth avenues, just south of Queen Street East.

Toronto Fire Services (TFS) crews arrived on the scene to face a raging inferno and thick smoke billowing from the rear of the property. TFS Division Commander Paul O’Brien described the harrowing experience, stating, “Initial fire attack crews entering the main floor found heavy fire conditions and were met with fire conditions on the first and second floor.” The fire quickly spread to an adjacent unit and affected homes to the south, raising concerns among local residents.

Emergency responders located an injured man, believed to be in his 50s, outside the home.
