“I spent about ten days preparing for this,” Omar stated. “Finding a high vantage point in a bustling area like Giza, where buildings often obstruct the view, was not an easy task. I finally located a spot approximately 2.7 kilometers west of the pyramids that would provide an unobstructed view of both celestial wonders.”

Using the popular PhotoPills app, Omar confirmed that both the comet and the crescent Moon would fit perfectly within the frame from his chosen location. However, capturing such a dazzling image wasn’t a walk in the park. The sky conditions were challenging—rated as Bortle 9, which indicates significant light pollution that hindered visibility.

Omar faced additional setbacks during the editing process. Though he captured the scenes, the stacking applications struggled to bring out the comet's details. He painstakingly stacked around 25 separate layers for each component of the photograph, a labor-intensive task that took him over nine hours to accomplish. “It was tough, but seeing Comet A3 finally come into view was absolutely worth it,” he remarked.
