She noted that many in her life were unaware of her condition, stating, "I needed spaces and people who did not regard me as a cancer patient." Yet, she felt immensely supported by close friends, including her former co-star Angela Kinsey, who showed solidarity by donning hats during meetings to stand by her during this challenging time.

Breast cancer remains the most prevalent cancer type among women in the UK, with over 50,000 women diagnosed annually. The good news is that survival rates have improved significantly over the years, with approximately 76% of women living for at least a decade post-diagnosis.
