Manhunt Concludes as Escaped Inmate Todd Boland Captured on Signal Hill

In a swift turn of events, a dangerous situation has concluded as Todd Boland, a 51-year-old inmate who escaped from Her Majesty’s Penitentiary earlier today, has been apprehended.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to the escape around 9:40 a.m. after Boland, who is currently facing multiple serious charges, fled the correctional facility on foot. His criminal record includes a variety of offenses such as uttering threats, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, theft under $5000, and failing to comply with court orders. Boland's court appearance is scheduled for October 21st regarding these charges.

Boland was captured by police on Signal Hill around 11:30 a.m., just a couple of hours after his escape. This brief period of freedom has resulted in additional charges being filed against him.
