The CFIA has cautioned that these cucumbers could have been distributed loose or in bulk, meaning they may not have a specific brand label. Originally imported from Mexico, these risky cucumbers were mainly sold in British Columbia and Alberta, but they may also have found their way to other provinces and territories!

This recall is a follow-up to a similar alert announced just a day prior, highlighting the serious nature of the contamination concerns. Additionally, cucumbers from the SunFed brand, initially recalled on November 28 and expanded on December 2, have now been updated to include field- and slicer cucumbers sold under the PLU 4062 code. These were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan between October 12 and December 4. Like the Pamela brand, these cucumbers could also have been sold loose and may be unrecognizable due to a lack of brand identification.

Consumers are strongly advised to refrain from using, serving, selling, or distributing any of the recalled products. Dispose of them safely or take them back to the store for a full refund.
