McLaren Leads the Charge in Final Practice
The excitement is palpable as the third free practice session (FP3) for the 2025 Bahrain Grand Prix concludes at the Sakhir circuit. McLaren’s Oscar Piastri has emerged as the front-runner, clocking a lightning-fast lap that places him a staggering 0.668 seconds ahead of his teammate, Lando Norris.
Ferrari's Leclerc and Mercedes' Russell Close in
Right behind McLaren, Charles Leclerc represents Ferrari valiantly, securing third place and being the only non-McLaren driver to stay within a second of Piastri, finishing 0.834 seconds slower. Mercedes driver George Russell showcased his skill, landing in fourth, narrowly edging out rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who finished just a tenth behind him.
Strong Performances but Misses for Champions
Alpine's Pierre Gasly took sixth, just ahead of Racing Bulls’ Isack Hadjar in seventh. Reigning World Champion Max Verstappen had a challenging session, settling for eighth, trailing Piastri by a hefty 1.381 seconds. Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top ten, both representing the seasoned teams of Williams and Ferrari, respectively.
