“It feels fantastic. I am excited,” exclaimed Brad in a recent interview. He recounted how the couple’s plans for a cozy New Year’s Eve celebration took an unexpected turn when Katelyn went into labor late that night. “The contractions started just as they called us for a wellness check. We thought we had the night all planned out, but Saylor had other ideas!” Brad shared, highlighting the fast, smooth, and natural delivery that followed.

A Special Name with a Legacy

The Doerings, who have been happily married for a decade, had chosen the name Saylor in tribute to Katelyn’s grandfather, an accomplished sailor. Their family continues to share a love for the water, and this name carries that legacy forward.

Brad didn’t hold back in praising the remarkable staff at KGH. “The team was fantastic! Our head nurse was incredibly supportive and made my wife feel very comfortable. It was a seamless experience, and we’re so grateful for all their help,” he said.
