Ottawa Senators Alter Promotional Giveaway Amid Shipping Delays

In a surprising twist, the Ottawa Senators have announced a modification to their promotional giveaway for Monday's highly anticipated game against the Los Angeles Kings at the Canadian Tire Centre. What was once set to delight fans with specialty gravy boats has now transformed into a more practical offering.

Initially, the Senators planned to hand out unique gravy boats to the first 10,000 attendees. However, due to unexpected shipping delays caused by a labor disruption at a Halifax port, the team will now offer those fans a voucher redeemable for a free popcorn and soft drink instead.

“This situation is truly disappointing for us, as we had everything arranged for the gravy boat giveaway,” expressed Jeff Harrop, the Senators' Senior Vice President of Marketing and Customer Engagement. “Unfortunately, this issue was entirely beyond our control, but we hope our fans enjoy the alternatives we are providing.”

The coveted gravy boats are not entirely off the table; the Senators have rescheduled their distribution for December 7, during their home game against the Nashville Predators. Harrop added, “We are looking forward to the December event, which will allow us to incorporate a festive holiday theme into the giveaway.”

Fans eager to secure their holiday collectible can mark their calendars for December, and in the meantime, they can enjoy the delicious snacks on Monday. This unexpected change has stirred discussions among fans, leaving them curious about what other surprises the Senators have in store for the rest of the season.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Senators' promotional events and prepare for an exciting evening of hockey!
