Initially, the Senators planned to hand out unique gravy boats to the first 10,000 attendees. However, due to unexpected shipping delays caused by a labor disruption at a Halifax port, the team will now offer those fans a voucher redeemable for a free popcorn and soft drink instead.

“This situation is truly disappointing for us, as we had everything arranged for the gravy boat giveaway,” expressed Jeff Harrop, the Senators' Senior Vice President of Marketing and Customer Engagement. “Unfortunately, this issue was entirely beyond our control, but we hope our fans enjoy the alternatives we are providing.”

The coveted gravy boats are not entirely off the table; the Senators have rescheduled their distribution for December 7, during their home game against the Nashville Predators. Harrop added, “We are looking forward to the December event, which will allow us to incorporate a festive holiday theme into the giveaway.”
