Playboi Carti Claims Second No. 1 on Billboard 200
In a remarkable comeback, Playboi Carti has claimed his second No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 albums chart with his latest project, “MUSIC,” which debuted at the top spot dated March 29. The album launched with an impressive 298,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. for the week ending March 20, making it the biggest debut for a rap album in 2025 and achieving the largest streaming week for a rap project since 2023.
Previously, Carti topped the charts with his 2020 release “Whole Lotta Red,” which debuted at No. 1 on January 9, 2021. “MUSIC” marks Carti's third appearance in the top 10, following his critically acclaimed album “Die Lit,” which peaked at No. 3 in 2018.
