Police Urgently Search for Missing 15-Year-Old Girl
Thunder Bay – Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a missing teenager, Heavenleigh Moses-Fortier, who disappeared on Christmas Eve under concerning circumstances.
Heavenleigh, only 15 years old, was last seen boarding a city bus in the vicinity of Neebing Avenue. Described as an Indigenous girl, she stands approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, with distinct black hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a black sweater and grey sweatpants.
The local police have expressed deep concern for her safety and well-being, urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to step forward. Community involvement plays a crucial role in such investigations, and police are hopeful that tips from residents can lead to the safe recovery of Heavenleigh.
As the search continues, the case highlights the alarming issue of missing youth in Canada. With Indigenous children disproportionately affected, advocacy groups emphasize the need for increased awareness and preventive measures.
