Allan Art Aho, beloved member of the Revelstoke community, passed away peacefully in his home on December 15, 2024, at the age of 60. Born on September 5, 1964, Al was known for his passion for the great outdoors and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Throughout his life, Al cultivated friendships wherever he went, leaving a lasting impression with his warm nature and infectious laughter. Known for his vibrant personality, he thrived on inclusivity and made sure that everyone around him felt valued and appreciated. His love for adventures was matched only by his devotion to his family, particularly his role as a doting grandfather. Al enjoyed creating cherished memories with his grandchildren, Emma, Sawyer, and Peyton, sharing stories and laughter that will resonate with them forever.

Al's legacy extends beyond his immediate family. He is mourned by his stepchildren, Tysyn (Sarah) Olynyk and Nikki Olynyk, as well as his sisters, Sherri (Ken) Caswell and Lisa (Jim Cruickshank) Aho. He is also survived by his niece, Lauren, and nephew, Brett. Al was predeceased by his beloved wife, Julie Aho, in 2014, along with his parents, Allan and Laura Aho, who laid the foundation for his loving spirit.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for the spring, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather and honor the incredible person that Al was. The exact date will be announced later, aiming for a time when travel will be more convenient for all who wish to pay their respects.

In this time of mourning, those who knew Al are encouraged to share their memories and condolences online. His indomitable spirit and love for life will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
