"I was almost in tears," Brandon remarked, recalling her shock at seeing how much better Pilz looked. "I told him, ‘Karl, you can talk,’ and, ‘Karl, you look great.’” This visible improvement has offered some optimism, especially considering the turbulent times Pilz has faced due to addiction.
