Join the Inaugural Patient Education Symposium
Have you ever wanted to share your cancer journey and make a meaningful impact? This is your chance!
The South West Regional Cancer Program is excited to announce its inaugural Patient Education Symposium taking place this Saturday in Stratford. This groundbreaking event aims to bring together individuals whose lives have been touched by cancer, including current and former patients, their families, and caregivers from across the region.
Tammy Quigley, Vice President of Cancer, Renal, Mental Health & Patient Flow for London Health Sciences Centre, emphasized the importance of this gathering. "It’s crucial for those of us involved in the cancer program to hear directly from patients and their families," she stated. This is not just an event; it’s a vital opportunity for open dialogue about the successes and areas that need improvement in cancer care education.
Your voices matter! The insights shared during the symposium will play a pivotal role in shaping the cancer program's patient education strategy for 2025/2026. Participants can expect to engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, and provide feedback that could help bridge the gaps in available resources and education surrounding cancer care.
Mark your calendars! The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Grayson Mills in Stratford. Best of all, attendance is absolutely free, but pre-registration is mandatory to secure your spot.
Join us in this meaningful initiative to share your story and help pave the way for better cancer care in our communities. Your experience could light the way for others facing similar challenges!
