A Mississauga man, labeled a dangerous repeat offender, has found himself in hot water once again after being charged with armed robbery while out on bail. What transpired during these harrowing incidents is nothing short of alarming.

According to Peel Regional Police, the first incident unfolded on December 4, 2024, when the suspect targeted a victim at their home. In a frightening turn of events, he not only obtained several bank cards but also forced the victim to withdraw a significant amount of cash at a nearby bank before letting them go unharmed.

However, the situation escalated dramatically in the early hours of New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025. The same suspect returned, this time brandishing a handgun, and confronted a second victim. He forcibly entered the residence, leading to the theft of personal items during a terrifying encounter that left the victim shaken.

The investigation took a decisive turn on January 3, 2025, when police executed a search warrant at a Mississauga residence linked to the suspect. Authorities discovered a cache of weapons, including a Sig Sauer P320 handgun, a pellet gun, and three prohibited magazines. Disturbingly, ammunition was found hidden within a furnace, along with an ID belonging to one of the earlier victims—evidence of a calculated and dangerous pattern of criminal behavior.

The man, identified as 35-year-old Darko Jugova, was arrested and now faces a slew of serious charges, including forcible confinement, robbery, robbery with a firearm, break and enter, and extortion, alongside various firearm-related offenses. He has been held in custody while awaiting a bail hearing.

Deputy Chief Marc Andrews of the Peel Regional Police stated, “Repeat violent offenders endanger our community and threaten lives. Our investigators will continue to work relentlessly to keep our community safe and are committed to ensuring those responsible for these criminal acts are held accountable." His statement highlights the pressing need for community safety and the dangers posed by individuals like Jugova.
