In a stunning turn of events, a 24-year-old woman from Quebec and a youth have been charged in connection with a dramatic auto theft incident that unfolded last month in Mississauga.

On March 29, 2025, authorities received reports of a stolen vehicle around 11:30 a.m. near Willow Way and Riverside Place, close to the bustling intersection of Bristol Road West and Creditview Road. Quick to respond, Peel Regional Police officers set up surveillance in the area and swiftly apprehended the suspected thieves.

The woman, identified as Asmaa Ouadria, is facing serious charges including possession of break-in instruments, possession of a device to unlawfully access a computer system, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order, in addition to violating a probation order. Meanwhile, the youth has been charged with possession of property obtained through criminal activity, though their identity remains protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Both individuals are currently behind bars awaiting a bail hearing. Peel Regional Police have urged anyone with additional information regarding the incident to step forward and assist investigators.

In a surprising twist, it has been revealed that Ouadria was already wanted for similar charges in the Durham Region at the time of her arrest in Mississauga. Just days earlier, on March 21, 2025, Ouadria was involved in a harrowing incident during an attempted arrest in Oshawa, where a Durham Regional Police Service officer was struck by a vehicle. As the officer tried to apprehend Ouadria, she allegedly fled the scene in a white Mercedes. In a reckless act, an unknown driver reversed the vehicle, dragging the officer several meters before colliding with a parked car and escaping the scene.

Fortunately, the officer sustained only minor injuries, but the chilling nature of these events raises serious concerns about public safety and crime in the region.

As investigations continue, this case serves as a sharp reminder of the ongoing issues surrounding auto theft and criminal activity in urban areas. Will the justice system send a strong message that such behavior won't be tolerated? Stay tuned for updates!
