In a dramatic turn of events, a suspect tied to an elaborate auto theft operation has been revealed to have misled police and the courts by using a false identity before disappearing after being released on bail.

This incident forms part of a larger crackdown on an alleged organized crime auto theft network that recently saw 11 individuals from Quebec arrested.

The Suspect: Asmaa Ouadria

The suspect, now identified as 24-year-old Asmaa Ouadria, was reportedly ordered to reside with a surety in Montreal following her release. However, just four days after her release, Durham police conducted a routine compliance check at her designated address, only to find no trace of her.

In a startling development, Ouadria was later spotted at a plaza in Oshawa by a police officer who recognized her as someone who had violated her release conditions. When approached, she jumped into a white Mercedes driven by an accomplice.
