A man was rushed to the hospital following a brutal home invasion in Burnaby early Sunday morning. According to the Burnaby Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), multiple suspects broke into a residence and launched an attack on one of the occupants.

Police responded to reports of an assault with a weapon just before 3 a.m. in the vicinity of Boundary Road and Burke Street. “Multiple suspects entered the home and assaulted one of the occupants,” stated Corporal Mike Kalanj during an interview with 1130 NewsRadio.

The victim, a male in his 30s, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have confirmed that the suspects fled the scene shortly after officers arrived.
