In a shocking incident on Christmas Eve, an elderly woman was urgently transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a devastating apartment fire in the Davisville Village area.

Fire crews responded to an emergency call shortly after 10:30 p.m. regarding flames erupting from a residential building located near Yonge Street and Davisville Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters were immediately confronted with thick smoke and roaring flames emanating from one specific unit.

Platoon Chief Pat Howlett provided an update, stating, “Crews made their way up to one of the units and successfully removed one patient. The patient was transported to the hospital via emergency run alongside our partners from Toronto Paramedics and Toronto Police.”
