Shakman noted, "Doom’s a compelling character, but he often overshadows the rest. By steering clear of both his origin and presence, we can approach these characters from an innovative angle."

Joseph Quinn, the new Johnny Storm, is committed to breaking the mold set by his predecessors. He discussed the character’s previous portrayals as a stereotypical womanizer, and expressed his desire for a more mature and self-aware Johnny. "In today’s culture, having him be a callous playboy feels outdated. This version is more empathetic and reflective about his actions," Quinn explained.

Significantly, this film marks the Fantastic Four’s integration into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leading to their anticipated showdown with Doctor Doom in the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday," featuring none other than Robert Downey Jr. back in the fray.
