Details of the Shooting

The chaos began just after 11:30 p.m. when a barrage of gunfire erupted in the neighborhood. Eyewitness reports and social media footage confirm that the two victims were engaged in clearing snow from a vehicle when a white four-door sedan approached. Suddenly, as the vehicle came to a halt, the back-left door flung open revealing a shooter who unleashed a hail of bullets.

Casualties and Response

In chilling footage, nearly 20 shots can be seen and heard, illuminating the night with bright flashes. Tragically, one of the men, now identified as 26-year-old Pritpal Singh, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The second victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the arm, was rushed to a nearby hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Authorities have not made any arrests yet, but they believe the shooting was targeted. The investigation took a concerning turn when, shortly thereafter, another shooting incident was reported in Caledon, which police suspect may be connected to the Brampton shooting.
