Transforming the Future: ICE Launches New Edition of the 20/20 Catalysts Program!
The Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE) 20/20 Catalysts Program is back, and it's poised to revolutionize the way communities engage in clean energy initiatives! This award-winning program is designed to empower participants with the essential skills, tools, and resources they need to unlock the vast social and economic benefits linked to renewable energy projects.
Over the course of six months, participants dive into a variety of virtual learning experiences complemented by three immersive week-long on-site sessions. These sessions are meticulously planned and hosted at locations strategically chosen for their proximity to ongoing renewable energy projects, ensuring participants gain real-world insights and experience. In 2023, the program took place in stunning locales such as Tofino, BC in June, Wendake, QC in September, and Six Nations of the Grand River, ON in November. Participants engaged in dynamic workshops, received coaching from experienced mentors, and embarked on on-the-land activities that reinforced their learning.
But the excitement didn't stop there! The program culminated in the anticipated 2024 Changemakers Forum, an inspiring gathering that united Indigenous leaders, innovators, and allies. Together, they celebrated achievements, exchanged ideas, and ignited discussions aimed at fostering impactful change in the clean energy sector.
If you’re passionate about clean energy and eager to make a difference, you won’t want to miss your chance to join the next cohort of the 20/20 Catalysts! Applications for the upcoming session are due by January 31, 2025.
