The incident occurred on August 25, when the 16-year-old victim and her friend caught the 250 route bus at Park Royal in West Vancouver around 5:45 PM. During their ride, they noticed a man who appeared to be watching them intently. Unnerved by his behavior, the friends shared their concerns with each other.

Escalation of Events

After disembarking at Pacific Centre, located near Granville and Georgia Street, the situation escalated. According to the police report, the man followed them off the bus and assaulted one of the girls. Fortunately, a bystander witnessed the incident and intervened just in time, causing the suspect to flee the scene before authorities arrived.

Description of the Suspect

Law enforcement describes the suspect as a man in his 40s or 50s, approximately 6 feet tall. At the time of the attack, he was seen wearing glasses, had “receding hair,” and donned an orange BC Lions collared shirt, cream-colored pants, and blue and white Adidas sneakers.
