In a shocking revelation, legendary actor Al Pacino has disclosed that he nearly lost his life to COVID-19 in 2020, a harrowing experience he described as being devoid of a pulse for several chilling minutes.

The 84-year-old star, known for iconic roles in films like "The Godfather" and "Scarface," recounted his brush with death in recent interviews with the New York Times and People magazine. Pacino fought the virus during a time when no vaccines were yet available, and his struggle was both intense and surreal.

“I felt unusually unwell,” Pacino recounted. He experienced high fever and severe dehydration before ultimately losing consciousness. “I was sitting there in my house, and then I was gone. Just like that. No pulse,” he said, emphasizing the suddenness of the ordeal.

A team of paramedics intervened and brought him back, and Pacino vividly remembers waking up to a scene that felt almost otherworldly. “They looked like they were from outer space,” he remarked about the medical team clad in full protective gear. “It was shocking to open your eyes and see that. They said, ‘He’s back. He’s here.’”

During an interview with People, Pacino expressed uncertainty about whether he actually experienced death despite being told by a nurse that his pulse had vanished. “I thought I experienced death. I might not have... How could I be dead? If I was dead, I simply fainted,” he pondered.

Despite this existential encounter, he did not report seeing a light or having any other profound visions during what some might interpret as a near-death experience. Instead, the actor reflected deeply on life’s mysteries. “As Hamlet says, ‘To be or not to be; the undiscovered country from whose bourn no traveler returns.’ It was just... no more. You’re gone," Pacino stated. The contemplation of death struck him as something he had never seriously pondered before.

Interestingly, when asked if this brush with mortality changed his perspective on life, Pacino replied with a resolute “not at all,” suggesting a remarkable resilience and adherence to his way of life.

Fans will get more insight into Pacino's experience in his forthcoming memoir, *Sonny Boy*, which promises to delve into his life and career in greater depth. Additionally, his latest film, titled *Modì, Three Days on the Wing of Madness*, premiered just last week at the 72nd San Sebastián Film Festival, adding yet another milestone to the actor's illustrious career.

As Pacino reflects on his life, one thing remains clear: even in the face of death, the iconic actor carries on, continuing to captivate audiences with his unyielding spirit and talent.
