Cathay Pacific’s Growing Presence in India
In addition to the newly resumed service to Hyderabad, Cathay Pacific already operates 31 return flights weekly to other major Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai. This strategic expansion includes double-daily flights to Delhi and ten weekly flights to Mumbai, along with daily services to Bengaluru and Chennai.
Cultural and Economic Ties Strengthened
Lavinia Lau, Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, expressed enthusiasm about reintroducing direct flights to Hyderabad, emphasizing the city's rich heritage and expanding tech landscape. She stated, “This service not only reinforces our established presence in India but also enhances our commitment to facilitating cultural connections and trade between these vital markets.”
Connecting India to the World
Cathay Pacific’s service to Hyderabad will cater to travelers seeking connections not only to Hong Kong but also to multiple cities in China and beyond. The airline has seen strong demand during events like the recent Canton Fair, particularly for its proximity to vital trade hubs. The airline aims to replicate this success with the new Hyderabad route, targeting both leisure travelers and business professionals.
Passengers can look forward to smooth transfers to destinations across the Greater Bay Area, including key cities like Guangzhou and Macao, all without the hassle of immigration procedures.
With such promising developments on the horizon, this route not only marks a pivotal moment for Cathay Pacific but also serves as a bridge fostering deeper connections between India and the rest of the world. Keep your eyes peeled for this exciting new chapter in air travel!
