Chloe Fineman’s Revelations About Elon Musk's ‘SNL’ Hosting

In a recent revelation, comedian Chloe Fineman has confirmed that tech mogul Elon Musk, who hosted "Saturday Night Live" in May 2021, was the reason behind her emotional breakdown on set. Speaking candidly in a now-deleted TikTok, Fineman shared her experience of working with Musk, following hints dropped by cast member Bowen Yang on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live!" in August. Yang had suggested that the billionaire's difficult demeanor left several crew members in tears due to his harsh criticism of their ideas.

Fineman's claims gained traction after a recent episode of "Saturday Night Live" featured Dana Carvey impersonating Musk in a comedic skit, bringing back the memories of that infamous night. In her TikTok, Fineman said, “I’m gonna come out and say at long last that I’m the cast member that he made cry, and he’s the host that made someone cry. Maybe there’s others."

She recounted how she poured hours of hard work into writing a sketch for Musk, only to be met with a cold stare and dismissive remarks. "Guess what, you made I, Chloe Fineman, burst into tears... because I stayed up all night writing this sketch. I was so excited," she recalled. "You stared at me... and were like, ‘It’s not funny.’"

Fineman further criticized Musk's handling of her script, noting that he seemed uninterested and didn’t find any of her ideas funny. Admiring his performance in a sketch where she played an Icelandic talk show host, she conceded, "The sketch ended up being fine, and I actually had a really good time doing it, but you know, have a little manners here, sir."

After posting her video, Musk responded on X, dismissing Fineman’s claims and bringing his own perspective. He stated, “Frankly, it was only on the Thursday before the Saturday that ANY of the sketches generated laughs,” expressing his worry that his SNL stint would be a complete flop. However, he did not address the emotional fallout for Fineman or apologize for making her cry.

As the discourse unfolded, Musk continued to share his thoughts online, suggesting that cast members were still upset over former President Trump's recent victories, which sparkled further debates among fans.

This revelation has reignited interest in the behind-the-scenes dynamics of "SNL," showcasing the tension that can arise when celebrity hosts collide with the creative visions of the cast.
