Some campers have recounted the harrowing experience of waiting without access to bathrooms—an ordeal far beyond what anyone had anticipated.

Local station KESQ-TV has aptly dubbed the situation "carmageddon," as attendees grumble about the situation. One frustrated festivalgoer exclaimed, "This is absurd! Why are we spending so much money only to sit in traffic for hours?" Another added, "I’ve seen people pass out from heat exhaustion—it's absolute chaos!"

The complaints didn't stop there. An irate TikTok user shared her experience while stuck in traffic, revealing her group had been waiting for 10 hours after arriving at 3 a.m. She described the back-up as a "complete shit show," lamenting, "It’s nearly 1 p.m. and we haven’t even gotten through security! It’s 100 degrees out. Cars are overheating, running out of gas, and people are resorting to using bushes as bathrooms. We paid over $600 for this!? It's beyond disappointing and downright dehumanizing!"

Others chimed in on X, with one longtime attendee writing, "This is my 12th Coachella, and I’ve never faced such long lines for camping!" Another expressed disbelief: "Eight hours in line and we’re still nowhere close! You charge thousands and can't handle basic logistics?"
