DETROIT – In a stunning display of dominance, the Detroit Lions crushed the Jacksonville Jaguars 52-6 in a game that showcased the Lions' offensive prowess and defensive strength. Quarterback Jared Goff, who was exceptional throughout the match, threw four touchdown passes, with two of those going to star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

The Lions were relentless, as running backs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs each contributed significantly with three rushing touchdowns combined. This decisive victory marked the Lions' eighth consecutive win and improved their record to 9-1, the best start for the franchise since 1934.

With a staggering winning margin of 46 points, the Lions not only recorded their largest win in franchise history but also handed Jacksonville its biggest defeat ever. Detroit amassed a remarkable 645 total yards, the third-highest in the NFL over the past 20 years, while limiting Jacksonville to just 170 yards, creating an astounding 475-yard differential—the third-largest in league history.

Making history, the Lions join the 1969 Minnesota Vikings and the 1973 Atlanta Falcons as one of only three teams in the Super Bowl era to win three of their first ten games by over 35 points each.

The Jaguars (2-9) continued their downturn, suffering their fourth consecutive loss. Head coach Doug Pederson's job may be hanging by a thread, as Jacksonville has only won 3 of their last 17 games. “I’ve been around this game for a long time, and whatever is going to happen will happen,” Pederson reflected when asked about his future.

Despite the dominating performance from the Lions, Jacksonville's rookie kicker, Cam Little, managed to set a personal best by nailing a 59-yard field goal during the game—although it wasn't enough to ignite much of a challenge.

After taking a commanding 28-3 lead in the first half, the Lions showed no signs of slowing down. Montgomery kickstarted the scoring frenzy with a 2-yard rushing touchdown, and Goff later connected with St. Brown on a 27-yard touchdown pass, extending the receiver's franchise record by securing a touchdown in eight consecutive games.

As the game progressed, Goff demonstrated his accuracy and control, finishing 24 of 29 for 412 yards and four touchdowns, while enjoying a perfect passer rating. This impressive performance came just a week after struggling with a career-high five interceptions, yet still leading the Lions to a comeback victory against the Houston Texans.

The Lions’ defense also shined, fueled by newly acquired edge rusher Za'Darius Smith, who recorded a sack in his debut with Detroit. Meanwhile, Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones, filling in for the injured Trevor Lawrence, struggled significantly, throwing for only 138 yards with one interception.
