Exciting updates are rolling out for Apex Legends, especially with the upcoming Winter Haunt event! Players rejoice as significant changes have been made to two of the game's crucial support Legends: Lifeline and Newcastle!

Lifeline Updates:

Recently, Lifeline has seen adjustments aimed at fine-tuning her abilities. The D.O.C. Halo's cooldown has now been increased from 150 seconds to 180 seconds, making players think strategically about their revives. Additionally, Lifeline's hands-free revive speed has been standardized to match that of non-support Legends, which could change the dynamics in intense firefights. This means opponents will have a better chance to respond when Lifeline is in action, making battles even more thrilling!

Newcastle Enhancements:

Newcastle, who underwent significant changes earlier this week, also deserves attention. His Revive Shield's health has been adjusted: the White Shield now offers 250 HP (down from 300), Blue Shield 400 HP (down from 450), and Purple Shield now provides 600 HP instead of the previous 750. Furthermore, the cooldown for Newcastle's Mobile Shield has been increased to 20 seconds, up from 15 seconds! In addition, the invulnerability feature has been removed and the Thick Shield HP is now integrated into the base of his Mobile Shield, which means players will need new tactics to protect themselves while reviving allies.

Dev Notes:

These changes stem from community feedback aimed at balancing gameplay. The developers noted that while it was great to see Newcastle rise from the bottom to a more competitive status, the overwhelming shield power became quite dominant, limiting counterplay strategies for opponents. Consequently, adjustments to both Legends were necessary to enhance the overall gaming experience!
