While releasing on the same day might sound risky, Bungie is strategic in keeping *Marathon* away from the shadow of *GTA 6*—a title published by the same company.

Join the Action: Closed Alpha Sign-Up Details!

Don’t want to wait until the game's launch? Get in on the action early with the *Marathon* Closed Alpha, set to run from April 23 to May 4! Here’s how to snag a key:

1. Head over to any of our Discord channels and type the command `/alpha`.

2. Keep an eye out for a private message just for you.

3. Follow the unique sign-up link provided in that message.

4. If selected, check your inbox for an email from marathonthegame@info.bungie.net (to avoid missing it, consider adding this email to your contacts!). Codes will be sent out a few days before the alpha kicks off.

Important Alpha Access Notes!

While it’s exciting to sign up, there are a few important things to keep in mind:

- The playtest is under a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), meaning no streaming or sharing of gameplay.

- Receiving a priority code boosts your chances of being selected, but doesn’t guarantee access.

- This is a North American Technical Test with possible limited functionality and slower matchmaking outside the region. PlayStation codes are region-locked.

- You’ll also receive two friend codes for prioritization access, but remember—this isn’t a guarantee.
