There’s nothing like the magic of in-store shopping during the holidays, and at the same time, we’ve all come to rely on reading reviews, comparing prices and researching before buying."
To utilize this feature, initial support includes popular categories like beauty products, toys, and electronics from retailers that share their inventory data with Google. The list of participating stores features major names such as Target, Ulta Beauty, Sally Beauty Supply, Macy’s, and Nordstrom.
But there's more! Google Lens is currently powering an astounding 20 billion visual searches each month, with 20% of users engaging in product-related searches. This shows just how influential Lens has become in facilitating informed purchasing decisions.
Available now for U.S. users on both Android and iOS through the Google and Chrome apps, the service requires users to opt into location sharing to enjoy its full benefits.
Additionally, Google Maps is ramping up its offerings, enabling users to search for products and locate nearby retailers carrying them. For example, if you're on the hunt for a holiday sweater, simply search on Maps to see which local stores have your style in stock.
