In the realm of love and marriage, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton possess some intriguing secrets that keep their bond unbreakable.

During her captivating appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show," the 55-year-old pop icon opened up about a unique element in their relationship — a heartfelt "third party" that plays a crucial role in their marital bliss.

"The best advice I’ve ever received about love is to ensure you have a third party," Stefani shared, pointing skyward to signify her faith in God watching over their union.

While the singer is celebrated for hits like "Don’t Speak" and "Hollaback Girl," she has a soft spot for a particular love song that resonates deeply with her. "Shania Twain's 'Still the One' … that’s a perfect song," she noted enthusiastically.

When Barrymore posed the question of whether Stefani preferred a "date night out" or a cozy night in, she responded with laughter, "For sure in! I’m literally like — couch, blanket, cookies, chips."

Elaborating on her ideal evening, Stefani humorously painted a picture of their home life, saying, "I have the dogs right here; we have two couches… Blake’s on that couch and we’re like, ‘Hi!’" She laughed about how they navigate their cuddle time, noting, "I would sit next to him, but he’s gigantic, and we don’t fit anywhere."

The couple first crossed paths in 2014 when Stefani joined the coaching panel on "The Voice," both having just emerged from previous marriages. By July 2015, following their respective divorces, they began their romantic journey together, culminating in a beautiful wedding on Shelton’s Oklahoma property in July 2021.

Despite their different musical styles, Stefani and Shelton have created magic in the studio, releasing memorable duets like "Nobody But You" and "You Make It Feel Like Christmas." Their latest collaboration, "Purple Irises," is featured on Stefani’s recent album, "Bouquet."

As a devoted mother to her three children from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale, Stefani’s partnership with Shelton has evolved beautifully, especially after he announced plans to step back from his coaching role on "The Voice" to focus on family life.

Shelton, who has embraced his role as a stepfather wholeheartedly, expressed, "Even though I’m a stepparent, I take that job very seriously. The kids see me as a very important person in their life." He reflected on his decision to prioritize family time, declaring, "This isn’t about me anymore and never will be again."

In a world where relationships can be notoriously challenging, the couple’s unique approach, combining faith, family, and a sprinkle of fun, seems to be the perfect recipe for lasting love.
