HKJC and CTSHK Join Forces to Showcase Hong Kong's Unique Attractions in Tourism Boom!

In a significant move to boost tourism in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) and China Travel Service (Holdings) Hong Kong Limited (CTSHK) signed a memorandum of understanding on March 19, 2025. This partnership promises to enhance the global presence of Hong Kong's distinct attractions, especially in the realms of sports, culture, and youth exchanges.

The signing ceremony, held in the vibrant Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, was graced by prominent figures including Rosanna Law, the Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism; Pang Yiu-kai, Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board; Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, CEO of HKJC; and Wang Haimin, Chairman of CTSHK. The collective effort from these leaders underscores the significance of this collaboration for the future of tourism in the region.

Rosanna Law praised the initiative, highlighting its potential to spotlight equestrian and island tourism in Hong Kong. “This partnership exemplifies our commitment to presenting Hong Kong as a premier travel destination,” she stated, "and aims to significantly increase the influx of international tourists eager to explore our rich culture and unique offerings."

As outlined in the MoU, HKJC and CTSHK will pool their resources to create innovative travel packages that combine thrilling horse racing experiences with entertainment options, appealing to a broad spectrum of visitors. This collaboration is not only expected to elevate Hong Kong’s status as a sporting destination but also aims to deepen cultural connections and tourism exchanges between Hong Kong and mainland China.
