Apple is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated iPhone SE 4, which is rumored to sport an impressive 48-megapixel rear camera alongside a 12-megapixel TrueDepth front camera. This exciting news comes from recent reports emerging from the Korean supply chain, specifically from ET News.

The main supplier for the camera modules will be Korea-based LG Innotek, with additional contributions from Foxconn and Cowell Electronics. The new iPhone SE 4 is expected to be available around the first quarter of 2024 and is likely to be priced at a budget-friendly approximate of $400.

Examining the camera capabilities, the iPhone SE 4 will adopt a similar rear camera setup to that of the current iPhone 16, which features the innovative “Fusion” lens. This technology allows users to take both standard photos and images with a 2x optical zoom. The front camera will mirror that of the iPhone 16’s 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera, providing excellent selfie capabilities for all users.

In addition to its camera prowess, rumors indicate that the iPhone SE 4 will adopt an all-display design akin to the iPhone 14. This means users can expect a sleek, modern aesthetic with a large 6.06-inch OLED display, as opposed to the traditional LCD screens seen in prior models. Notably, this new iteration is also expected to move away from the Touch ID feature and embrace Face ID instead.

Users will benefit from enhanced performance thanks to the inclusion of 8GB of RAM to support advanced Apple Intelligence features, as well as a USB-C port for faster charging and data transfer. The device may also introduce an innovative multi-purpose Action button, potentially replacing the classic mute switch.

But that’s not all! The iPhone SE 4 is anticipated to be Apple’s first device equipped with its own 5G chip, marking a significant leap forward in mobile connectivity for budget-conscious consumers.

The previous generation, the third-generation iPhone SE, was announced on March 8, 2022. With the expected debut of the iPhone SE 4 around March 2024, Apple seems poised to capture the attention of both loyal fans and new customers alike.
