Kirk Cousins made headlines by showing up for the Atlanta Falcons' first day of voluntary offseason activities. While many expected him to be a pawn in potential trades, Cousins is already back in the mix.

Rumors swirl that a trade involving Cousins won't happen until after the NFL Draft, if it happens at all. He’s slated to earn a jaw-dropping $27.5 million in 2025, plus he holds a no-trade clause that complicates matters.

Last offseason, the Falcons signed Cousins only to draft Michael Penix Jr. as his eventual replacement with the eighth overall pick. As Cousins struggled late in the season, Penix had his chance to shine, starting the final three games for the Falcons.

As for Cousins, who turns 37 this August, he finished the 2024 season with impressive stats: completing 67% of his passes for 3,508 yards, landing 18 touchdowns—though he also led the league with a staggering 16 interceptions.
