Netflix has officially renewed the hit romantic comedy series ‘Nobody Wants This’ for a second season, proving that the streaming giant absolutely wants more of this unique show, contrary to its title! This delightful revelation comes from Netflix's Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, and is set to make waves in the media today.

Originally created and executive produced by Erin Foster, ‘Nobody Wants This’ will see a shift in leadership for the upcoming season. Girls alums Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan have signed on as the new executive producers and showrunners, partnering with Nora Silver, President at Jenni Konner Productions. Foster, however, remains the creative force behind the series, ensuring it stays true to her original vision.

With a stellar start since its September 26 launch, the series quickly became one of Netflix's strongest comedy debuts, landing at No. 2 in its first weekend, and eventually climbing to No. 1, racking up an impressive 26.2 million views within just 11 days. The show not only captivated audiences but also sparked significant conversations online.

The inspiration for the series draws heavily from Foster’s personal experiences, exploring the complexities of modern relationships. The story follows an agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi, Joanne (played by Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody), who stumble into romance amidst their differing outlooks on life and the inevitable hurdles love brings, including their quirky families.

The arrival of Konner and Kaplan marks an exciting reunion for the duo, who have previously collaborated on the groundbreaking series ‘Girls.’ Konner expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “It’s a dream to be working on Nobody Wants This.
