A Fairy-Tale Wedding
In a stunning celebration that brought together childhood memories and adult love, former child stars Angelo Massagli and Caitlin Hale married on January 4 at the exquisite Park Château Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick, New Jersey. This enchanting venue, designed to resemble a grand French chateau, set the perfect backdrop for the couple's fairy-tale wedding.
A Reunion After Years
Massagli and Hale first crossed paths as co-workers at just 10 years old while filming the beloved 2003 film 'School of Rock,' where they shared screen time with comedic powerhouse Jack Black. Hale portrayed Marta, a charming backup singer with braided pigtails, and Massagli played Frankie, the band's 'peewee security' detail. Their fond memories of filming, including shared lunches with Black, helped to form an unbreakable bond.
From Friends to Lovers
Fast forward to 2018, fate brought them back together in Florida, where their friendship blossomed into romance. "I knew very early," Hale recalled, stating that she confidently declared to a friend, "I think I’m gonna marry this guy," during a ride to Miami. Their deep-rooted familiarity, built from childhood experiences, helped them navigate the hurdles of their new romantic relationship.
The Proposal and Wedding Planning
After a heartfelt romantic proposal on June 2023 at the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art, Massagli and Hale's wedding planning began. They had made things official earlier on August 30 at Brooklyn Borough Hall with Waldo Ramirez officiating. On their wedding day, Hale kicked off the celebration by getting glammed up early in the morning, while Massagli enjoyed a well-deserved massage.
A Night to Remember
Hale’s show-stopping reception look featured stunning custom-made rhinestone-studded thigh-high Berta boots that peeked from under her strapless gown—she insisted that the boots were a must-have! The couple made a grand entrance to Kanye West’s "Through the Wire," leading into their first dance, which was a soulful rendition of Chaka Khan's "Through the Fire." The wedding was filled with lively beats reminiscent of the famous Studio 54, creating a high-energy atmosphere that had the guests dancing all night long.
Looking Ahead
Now navigating their successful careers—Hale as an Ob/Gyn sonographer and Massagli as a lawyer for TikTok in music product counsel—we can certainly expect strong and harmonious future for this adorable couple. Their journey from childhood friends to life partners is a beautiful reminder of the magic that can unfold when love is given the chance to grow.
