Exciting Overhaul Announcement

Sometimes, revolution starts from the ground up, while at other times, a fresh spark is all you need to elevate what you already have. Today, TechCrunch is thrilled to announce a stunning overhaul that enhances the experience for our readers.

High-Quality Journalism Meets User-Friendly Design

Until this moment, TechCrunch excelled in delivering high-quality journalism. We had top-notch reporters unearthing stories, in-depth news analysis, essential product reviews, and insights into the ever-evolving tech landscape, particularly regarding the realities of artificial intelligence. But what was missing? A sleek, user-friendly interface that matches the quality of our content. Today, that's changing!

New Website Features

Our newly designed website not only retains the features you love but also introduces a variety of exciting enhancements. Expect improved navigation, a vibrant new color scheme, and a modern look and feel. One of the most exciting additions? Real-time updates on breaking news, allowing us to deliver detailed analysis as stories unfold minute by minute.

A Long-Awaited Transformation

This transformation has been a long time coming. Our last major redesign was back in 2018. While we focused on publishing impactful stories, the underlying technological architecture of our site began to show its age. By last year, it was clear: the time for change was now.

Acknowledgments

A huge thank you to the team that made this possible! The journey toward a better TechCrunch began with the efforts of many talented individuals, including former Editor-in-Chief Matthew Panzarino, former GM Joey Hinson, and a dedicated team of current TechCrunch staff. Special acknowledgment goes out to our product lead Ted Malong, editorial director Henry Pickavet, audience development head Morgan Little, and all other contributors. We’re also grateful to our design partners at Turtle Design and Code & Theory for their creativity.

Gratitude to Sales and Advertising Team

In addition to our team, we owe gratitude to our exceptional sales squad whose efforts for enhanced ad placements have made our content even more accessible to advertisers, ultimately benefiting you, our reader.

Ongoing Journey

Everything is part of an ongoing journey; we’re not finished refining our platform! Over the past year, we’ve invested heavily in original reporting, confronting critical topics that impact technology and society. From significant cybersecurity incidents that have rocked the U.S. companies in 2024 to the tumultuous saga involving electric vehicle manufacturer Fisker, we are committed to shining a light on the stories that matter.

Introducing 'In Brief' Sections

We're also rolling out our new "In Brief" sections spotlighting important and intriguing stories we haven't explored ourselves. As a pioneer of TechCrunch's own daily newsletter, I recognize that readers seek diverse perspectives. Our commitment is to guide you to the most compelling tech stories wherever they reside.

Looking Ahead

Looking ahead to 2025, we have even more plans in store—so stay tuned! We genuinely value your feedback, and we invite you to share your thoughts about our new site. Better yet, join us in person at Disrupt in just a few weeks to connect with our team and discuss our innovations.

Appreciation for Reader Support

We hope you love the revamped TechCrunch as much as we do, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support—it means the world to us!
