A special Bowl Competition will also feature the bottom-placed teams from each group.

Unique Gameplay Rules

The Hong Kong Sixes tournament introduces a unique playing format that spices up the traditional game of cricket. Each team consists of six players and matches consist of five overs per innings. Here are some interesting rules that set this tournament apart:

- Each bowler is limited to one over.

- The final match will feature overs consisting of eight balls.

- For every wide or no-ball, the batting team scores two extra runs.

- A batter must retire upon reaching 31 runs but can return if their team is bowled out.

- If a team loses all players, the unbeaten batter can continue their innings until all six wickets are taken.

Since the Hong Kong Sixes began in 1992, it has seen fierce competition, with England and South Africa leading the charge, each claiming five titles. Pakistan follows closely, having secured the championship four times. Other notable champions include India, Australia, Sri Lanka, and West Indies, with one title each. In the previous edition back in October 2017, South Africa triumphed over Pakistan by two wickets.
