Morning Hurdles: Rain Doesn't Dampen Spirits!

Rise and shine, race enthusiasts! Today marks the second stop of the thrilling Northeast four-race odyssey. Unfortunately, it's not all sunshine, as rain has drenched the course after last week’s muddy showdown in Foxborough. Friday's practice was a washout, but today is a new day! Crews are lifting the tarps and revealing a track that could surprise us all.

In the exciting 450SX division, Cooper Webb holds a tight grip at the top with a 15-point lead over Chase Sexton, while in the 250SX West Division, Haiden Deegan leads Julien Beaumer by the same margin. The competition is fierce, with Seth Hammaker and Tom Vialle neck-and-neck for the 250SX East title!

First Qualifying Sessions: Who’s in the Lead?

With the track finally uncovered, it's showtime for the riders! The first 250SX overflow qualifying session saw Trevor Colip claim the top spot with a time of 55.418. RJ Hampshire shone in the East Division with an impressive 52.736, followed closely by Seth Hammaker and Chance Hymas.

As the 250SX West Division riders took to the track, conditions improved. Haiden Deegan dominated with a speedy 51.976, while fellow competitors Garrett Marchbanks and Cole Davies fought hard for their positions. However, not all was smooth sailing—Gavin Towers had a tumble in the whoops, and Jo Shimoda found himself stuck in a puddle. Thankfully, all riders are okay and back in the game!

450SX: The Battle Heats Up!

In the 450SX class, excitement reached a fever pitch as Dylan Ferrandis kicked off strong, only to be overtaken by Chase Sexton, who clinched the fastest time of the session at 51.228. Justin Cooper and Ferrandis followed closely behind, making for a gripping showdown. With Dean Wilson making his mark in his fill-in role with Honda HRC Progressive, the competition is as tight as ever.

Despite the chill in the air, currently 40°F, and a rocky weather past, the track is proving to be in better shape than expected—a promising sign for this high-stakes showdown!
