Trevor Lawrence is on the mend after his shoulder surgery last December, and he’s set on making a strong return this upcoming season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars' star quarterback shared exciting updates during a recent press conference, revealing that he has already begun throwing again. However, new head coach Liam Coen emphasized that Lawrence will be on a 'pitch count' during offseason workouts to ensure his recovery remains on track.

"We’re optimistic about where we need to go leading into the season," Coen stated during his address to the media. "He’ll have limited reps as we want to make sure he meets specific benchmarks before he can go full speed on the field."

Despite the cautious approach, Lawrence remains upbeat about his readiness for the start of the season. "I’m very optimistic I’ll be perfectly good when the time comes," he asserted, reflecting his confidence in the recovery process. He acknowledged that while he might ease into things during OTAs, he plans to gradually ramp up his throwing and handoff activities.

"I’m progressing with longer throws and more reps, aiming to be smart about it instead of diving in headfirst," Lawrence added, displaying his methodical strategy to get back into game shape.

As he gears up for his fifth NFL season, Lawrence's impressive stats from last year include completing 61% of his passes for 2,045 yards, with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions over just 10 games. Fans can look forward to seeing him lead the Jaguars once again, bringing his skills back to the field when Week 1 rolls around!
