In a tragic loss for the entertainment world, beloved actress Lar Park Lincoln, known for her captivating roles in iconic series like "Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood" and "Knots Landing," has passed away at the age of 63.
Lincoln, who courageously battled breast cancer for several years, departed this life on April 22, 2025. Her passing was confirmed by Actors Audition Studios, the Dallas-based organization she founded.
The studio expressed their deep sorrow, stating, "It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lar Park Lincoln, celebrated actress, founder of Actors Audition Studios, and America’s beloved Audition Coach. Over her 45-year career, Lar left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her dynamic performances and dedication to mentoring aspiring actors."
Born on May 12, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, Lincoln's journey began with the CBS telefilm "Children of the Night" in 1985, followed by guest appearances on popular shows like "Heart of the City" and "Highway to Heaven." Her breakout role came in 1987 when she was cast as the memorable Linda Fairgate in the CBS soap opera "Knots Landing." She graced the show until her character's shocking exit in Season 13.
In a heartfelt interview just a few years ago, Lincoln reflected on Linda’s unexpected popularity: "I would guess Linda was popular because she was so rotten and so fun at the same time. I studied a few people to become Linda, as she went from the brown hair to the blond meanie."
Starring as Tina Shepard in the slasher hit of 1988, Lincoln showcased her talent battling the infamous Jason Voorhees. Before that iconic role, she was featured in films like "The Princess Academy" and "House II: The Second Story."
Beyond acting, Lincoln also showcased her literary prowess with the release of her 2008 guide, "Get Started, Not Scammed," designed to assist aspiring Hollywood hopefuls.
In their announcement, Actors Audition Studios requested privacy for her family during this difficult time, while expressing gratitude for the love and support shown throughout her extensive career. To honor Lincoln's memory, donations can be made to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation or the Entertainment Community Fund.
Lar Park Lincoln is survived by her children, Piper and Trevor, her sister Karen, brother Michael, and grandchildren Aura, Benjamin, Jack, and Mia. Tragically, her husband, Michael Lincoln, passed away in December 2015 after a battle with cancer, just 14 years into their marriage.
