United Airlines Accelerates Starlink Rollout

United Airlines is making headlines with its latest move to enhance passenger experience by accelerating the rollout of Starlink in-flight internet access. Just a few months ago, the airline struck a deal with SpaceX's Starlink, unveiling plans to launch this much-awaited service in early 2024. Ambitious Refurbishment Schedule

During a conversation with United’s Chief Customer Officer, Linda Jojo, it was revealed that the airline has established an ambitious refurbishment schedule. The installation of the new Starlink terminal will take approximately two days while the aircraft is docked at its base, with the flexibility of splitting the installation over two nights if needed.

Complete Fleet Upgrade by Year-End

United Airlines aims to have Starlink installed across its entire regional fleet by the end of the year. Furthermore, the first mainline aircraft, including Boeing 737s and Airbus A320s, will also receive the Starlink upgrade before 2023 wraps up.

Once operational, Starlink Wi-Fi will be complimentary for all United MileagePlus members. Additionally, fliers will have the option to connect multiple devices under a single account, taking convenience to a whole new level.
