In a surprising twist in the world of rock, Zak Starkey has been reinstated as the drummer for The Who, just days following his departure from the iconic band.

Starkey, who has been keeping the beat for The Who since 1996, originally parted ways with the group due to tensions related to a performance at the Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Initially, it seemed there was a mutual agreement to part ways, but that narrative took a sharp turn when The Who's legendary guitarist and songwriter, Pete Townshend, confirmed Starkey's return.

In a heartfelt statement, Townshend explained, "He’s not being asked to step down from The Who. There were communication issues that needed resolving, and I take responsibility for some of the confusion. Roger Daltrey and I look forward to the evolution of Zak’s drumming style to fit our current lineup."
