SINGAPORE: The 2024 GCE O-Level examination results are in, and they showcase a remarkable achievement by students across the nation, with **87.7%** securing at least five passes. This figure represents a slight increase from last year's success rate of **86.8%**, signaling a positive trend in academic performance.
Out of the **22,661 candidates** who participated in the examinations last year, an impressive **19,884 students** reported five or more O-Level passes, according to the figures released by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) on Friday, January 10th. The results were eagerly anticipated, as students flocked to their secondary schools to collect their results.
Moreover, the performance metrics indicate that **97.3%** of students successfully passed at least three subjects, a slight rise from **96.7%** the previous year. Impressively, **99.8%** of candidates managed to pass at least one subject, ensuring that nearly all students achieved some level of success in their examinations.
Joint Admissions Exercise Urgent Reminder!
For students looking to continue their academic journey, especially those aiming for junior colleges, Millennia Institute, polytechnics, or the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) is now open. The application window runs from **4 PM on Friday to 4 PM on January 15**, giving students a limited but crucial timeframe to submit their course choices.
Eligible candidates, including both school and private students, received their necessary forms through email starting at **3 PM** on Friday. They can also conveniently download the form via the JAE-Internet System using their Singpass during this application period.
